one license for how many computers

    Yes.

    If you already have Capture One installed on one of the computers, click on the Capture One menu, then License...  You'll see something like this.

    Mine shows that I have one activation left - I could install it on one more computer. 

    Also if you click on the button to see the software licence agreement, you'll see the whole text including this bit. (I've chosen the paragraph referring to subscriptions, but there is a similar clause further up referring to perpetual licences.) 

    So I can install it on up to 3 computers, although I can only use it on one at at time - so I can't install it on three and let my friends or family use it at the same time as me. I only have 2 computers in use (MacBook and iMac) so I have one unused installation at the moment. Also note that I can deactivate it from any computers - so if I changed my MacBook and iMac for newer models I could deactivate it from the old ones and use those activations again on the new ones.

    Hope that explains it all!

    (NB: I think that the number of activations - three in my case - may vary according to precisely which version you have, so check the text in your licence agreement.)
