You could do that more easily with a session than with a catalog, I think.

Is this possible? Plz do a tutorial, or outline,  where everything is in one place and off the computer you don't want to clutter up by continually adding files to the "Pictures" folder...

Firstly, this is a user group, not Capture One - so asking us to make a tutorial (even in ALL CAPS) is pointless.

As to your question: Ian is probably right and sessions are the way to go.

However, you can store files on an external drive in a catalogue  - which is the way I do it. My catalogues are in my Pictures folder and the referenced images on an external drive.

As to moving them, provided you move them from within C1, shifting files and folders around isn't an issue.

Sorry Shane, Ian,  and everyone; you must have sensed my frustration with this.

Just watched another tutorial for C1 and they always use the pictures folder... I agree, sessions seems to be the way to go.

I apologize for the all caps.

I'm trying to keep everything from the shoot in one spot so I can access it from any of my computers from the backup/storage device and work on it.  If I have the catalog in the Pictures folder, I need to work on that particular machine for any updates etc.. Right? I'm also constantly loading my internal drive up. When I do a shoot tethered, we use sessions and everything is easily transportable and all in I spot. Thanks!
