Capture One 22 PRO, 15.4.2.10
Hi
So I just Downloaded neewest version of Capture One.
Capture one is crushing by doing simple editing. Last crash was when I was croping.
Win 11
GPU AMD
Will this be fixed with Capture One 23?

It's probably worth getting to the bottom of why 14.4.2 is crashing. If there is something in your system it doesn't like, there is the possibility that it won't like version 23 either.
- Have you tried turning off hardware acceleration (in the General tab of Preferences)?
- Have you tried looking at the log files to see whether they shed any light on what caused the crash?

- I will try turning off hardware acceleration.
- I have not seen log files. How can I see them?
All I know is that latest AMD GPU is unstable for 6950XT.

There is a menu item to get logs. It's on the Scripts menu for a Mac, but I am not sure where you find it on a Windows installation. If you keep having problems and have to put in a Support request, they are likely to ask to see the log files (and will tell you how to get them). They may or may not make any sense to the uninitiated!

What do you mean with this remark? Capture One uses the Graphics Card for calculations (aka HW acceleration). If the Graphics driver is unstable/crashing, Capture One is not able to work properly with HW acceleration enabled.
Under Windows, you can find the log-files in the following location: %LocalAppData%\CaptureOne\Logs
(enter that text (in bold) in a Windows Explorer window's address bar and press enter)

Thanks.
Well GPU driver is the only what have changed last few days. And I see problems with other programs after latest GPU driver.
I am using Capture One daily and I notice very fast when something is not working.
Which one of these files give me "Crash" logg?
Is it crashdump.dmp? How to read that.

Ok, is LastCrash.xml?

If the Graphics Driver is causing problems also with other programs, could you revert to an earlier release?
The "LastCrash.xml"-file might have detailed information about the last crash (and the "CrashDump.dmp" file might have the last status of the program when crashing) but I'd think that information has only some value to Capture One...

Ok thanks.
Well I dont think I can roll back AMD GPU drivers.
AMD GPU drivers have 2-4 updates each month. It is the latest update that is unstable.
But thanks. Now I know how to do more "troubleshooting"
