changed computer - now my external drive capture one file are read only

Hi, I changed my Mac computer from a 2 year old to an M1.  I had all my session folders on an external seagate drive.  Both capture one versions are 22. When I try to open them from the capture one I had a message that the session could not be opened  as the document is rad-only. Opening a session requires write access to the session document.  How do I do it?
