File renumbering problem
I've got a problem that's bugged me for ages and finally decided to ask on the forum.
I want Capture One to renumber my images with the resulting filename being (I used tokens):
Current year (yyyy)-Current month (mm)-Current day (dd)_6 digit counter.
The two things I want to figure out are:
- How to set the counter's starting number, as I want new numbers to sequence after my current images;
- How to get Capture One to remember the last-used counter value and resume the next import at "previous counter + 1" to preserve a catalog-wide numbering scheme.
Capture One always wants to start each import with counter value = 000001. Is there a way to accomplish my two goals? I've filed a support request and not yet heard back. Thanks in advance!

Do you really want Current Year, Current Month, Current Date? That means the year, month and date on which you do the renumbering. I'd have thought that you were more likely to want [Image Year]-[Image Month]-[Image Day of Month], which gives the date on which the shot was actually taken.
Having said that, your numbering system is the same as mine, I think. I number them using YYYY-MM-dd-[counter]. I do it on import and I find that it always picks up from the last number used. (I start a new session each month, and start the numbering a 0001 again.)

Thanks, Ian. Yes, I meant "Image", not "Current". I think I just found the answer; I hadn't found the "Set Import Counter" item in the elipsis menu. Since numbering is working for you as I'd like it to be in my machine, I'll hang in for a while and see if the numbers continue to carry on as expected with future imports. I've checked my settings once again and may have fixed something that was incorrectly set.
Should have been a simple thing; thanks for pointing me correctly.
