Where are we currently with Calibrate Colorchecker?
Hi all, I've recently purchased the Passport Photo 2 and wanted to check something as there are conflicting pieces of information on the web and nothing definitive from Calibrite.
I understand pretty much all of the process regarding exporting the file with no colour correction and linear response, embed camera profile etc and I'm also resetting all tone settings to zero, but when I apply the ICC profile which curve should I use?
If I use 'Auto' there is no difference at all to the original, uncorrected file that was shot on a Fuji X-T5 using the Provia Standard curve. I'm guessing that C1 knows the file was originally shot using a Fuji with the Provia film simulation so Auto simply applies it again.
If I use 'Film Standard' there seems to be the correction I expected but Calibrite's Help File doesn't even mention the curve.
Any ideas whether Film Standard is the correct curve to apply as a starting point?

I struggled with this too. If you follow the link below you can see that this guy uses the Linear Response curve after loading his newly generated profile. I would have to say that the result he gets on applying his profile looks a lot more saturated than the result I get. My monitor has been calibrated but it is a Samsung LU27R55 which is much lower end than his. If I go to adjustments and set the contrast to about 15 then the image of the colorchecker on my monitor looks pretty close to the actual colorchecker on my desk.
calibrite colorchecker passport photo 2 and capture one
I hope this helps.

I’ve got much better results now by setting all sliders back to zero before doing the tif export, as well as using the Linear Response curve once the profile has been applied
