If you choose to sort by "Date" that should actually put them in time order.

I'm also having a problem with sorting by date. It seems like the time listing in the metadata changes during capture when tethered. The camera time and Mac OS time are correct and constant. The metadata time listing for the image shown in Capture One is at times completely different. It can be off from a few minutes to a few days. this is only happening during tethered capture. If I shoot to a card and copy the images from the card to the capture folder the time stamp is correct.

I had some of the same thoughts. I do work in the fully tethered mode and I currently photograph a lot of 360 rotations where the camera is stationary and the product turns. This is why the proper date and times are important for the correct sequencing. I have also seen problems while adding metadata in has a style. I did it that way because at the time it seemed like the only way to do it. This was a very small amount of data, just "Creator", "Creator's Job Title", "Copyright Notice", and "Rights Usage". I was under the impression that the camera-generated metadata could not be rewritten by Capture One but I did notice that under the EXIF - Camera heading that the Nikon firmware was showing incorrectly in Capture One. Ver 1.5 on the camera but showing 1.11 in Capture One which was an older version that somehow got locked in when the style was created. I have since deleted all the metadata styles and I am trying not to add any "extras" to the processing during the capture process other than some of the settings from the "adjust" tab which are vitally important to me. I will try to keep up with this post if I discover anything new.
