External speedlite not triggering when tethered

I have a Canon 6d mark ii and a yongnuo (yn 560 iii) speedlight. When tethered with capture one, the speedlight won't work. Capture one will take the shot, but not with the flash. Has anyone had this issue or know of any troubleshooting I can try.
