DNG file type not listed as an available option in the list to enable. There are recipes for other file types like JPG. Am I misunderstanding?

This is where my problem becomes apparent. When the checkbox is ticked, I can see the color changes I made through the saturation and hue sliders. As soon as I untick the box, it goes right back to...
