It works fine here with Capture Pilot 2.4 on iOS (iPhone) 13.6. I assume you are able to connect. Check the Folder in the Capture Pilot tool in Capture One and whether that folder contains any images.

You can load Capture One while pressing the Shift key. This prevents loading the previous session(s). See if that is slow too. You could delete the AppData folder for Capture One and the preference...
