I think that would be a very useful option to lock a variant against accidental changes. All other handling of the variant should still be possible like putting in another collection, printing, etc...

layer presets
Completadawould be nice to have a layer preset to apply several standard layers (with or without mask and opacity) to an image. Preferably they could be incorporated in a user style. Reason: I keep applying...
