Thanks Stephen, that does look like the latest Canon firmware. Hmm, it's just such a common camera to deal with, I hope I can find a tethered solution soon. I couldn't even get EOS Utility to work....

Referencing another thread, is your camera's firmware up to date? Not sure it would matter since it works on my old A7R, but it was suggested for the Canons for that error.

I'm seeing the same error with a Canon 5Dmk4 and an R5. Would love to know a solution for this one. I was able to connect to a Sony A7R ok.
