Preview.app is colour managed so should display AdobeRGB correctly but it has to know that the jpg is AdobeRGB or it will default to sRGB. Maybe there is a problem with the metadata on the jpg expo...

Its not scripting, its setting up the export from CO. Check the manual and online videos for capture one recipes. Its the equivalent of an export preset in Lightroom.

Get rid of the global colour adjustment you made. Now use a brush and selectively remove the bad parts using the colour editor in the layers section.
