sorry can't help, played a little with c1 and you are right seems things got worse. I can't see a change in softness / density but it seems from the 1000 or more steps the wacom offers c1 uses only 3

c1 has some fundamental flaws nobody cares for as it seems - preview is inaccurate & histogram is off too.
