I can see information about my Canon lenses in the metadata.The information is shown under Vendor specific --> Lens e.g. EF28-70mm f2.8L USM .So this might be a Pentax specific problem.

Have you tried the following:1. Compare the checksums from e.g. shasum after copying the files (local vs NAS)2. What happens if you create an archive of the local session as zip or tar.gz? Unpac...
