I should have been a little more specific. I've had this happen to me on 2 different computers, 2 different cameras and several different usb cables.

Have you looked at he same files in other software or even preview? If your only comparing them to the camera LCD that might be part of the problem. You cannot trust this screen for exposure. I've...
