Do you run OSX 10.7.3? I’m asking as I submitted a support case about this issue and it seems it’s somewhat tied to Apple’s os update.

MP 1.4.2 works for me, for what I’m using the application for – mostly image management and the odd contact sheet. Haven’t had any crashes with this version yet, it seems to work as intended....
