    I simply select the photos in C1 after they've been sorted, right click, choose Batch Rename which gives a warrning of "Renaming referenced images will change their filename on disk..."   This then...

    My workaround for this is to do a batch rename of the master files themselves inside C1 then export. Not fun but does the trick. Once the export is complete I use the Finder renaming feature on mac...
