I hope they fix this soon, but as a workaround, select all your photos after import and change the crop to unconstrained. It will remember that for all the images selected.

You're on the Public Beta of Mac OS Sonoma. This is a known issue with that beta. Release version should come out next week and resolve the issue. Cheers, David

Might be that your shift key is sticking? clicking the mask on a location with the shift key depressed will draw the mask from the previously selected point...just a thought.

Having the same issue. Disabling Hardware Acceleration Processing seems to solve the problem. I was able to keep Hardware Acceleration Display turned on though...
