    3.7.7 LE users are supposed to be able to uupgrade. I have 2 free upgrades left, but when I use the activation it says I have no free upgrades.

    In my case, I still haven't received any email from PhaseOne on how to get Free Upgrade to v. 4.

    Can anyone help me in this respect.

    I have downloaded 4.0.
    I still have a free upgrade.
    I have connected to my profile.
    I entered my 3.77 activation key.

    The first time it told me that I had no right to a new product
    The second time it said that my key was wrong.

    I have written twice to Phase One but... no response.

    Well, let's keep cool, we still have a whole trial month.

    I too am having difficulty. I have tried to activate. I have typed in my 3.7xx activation code and retrieved my profile, but the registration screen is not allowing me to enter my christian name which I have to do before I activate. Does anyone alse have the same problem?

    Good point

    They had to make some back office adjustments to associate my profil with the name fields - if that makes sense. When I next tried to activate the name fields were populated.

    My profile looks fine (first and last names populate automatically, free upgrades remaining) but despite recognising my licence key it still refuses to let me activate...

    I purchased a San Disk Media Card that came with free Capture One LE software for version 3.77. I was able to use it on my computer as I got the free install code from Sandisk with the card. I was able activate it with the activation code provided through Phase One. I had to reinstall my operating system on the same computer and now the system would not let me reinstall the full version software. I have the card with all the information for activation from San Disk and Phase One and Phase One says I have a wrong activation code. Also according to Sandisk I am supposed to get one free upgrade. So I downloaded version 4 and it still says I have a wrong activation profile. I have sent requests to tech support and I get no response from Phase One. Is Phase One going to honor the offer from Sandisk even if I have all the information that says the software will be offered? How do you get a response from Phase One as no one seems to answer?

    Since Phase One thought it'd be a good idea to release a new program without telling any current users how to upgrade... this is what worked for me.

    In your P1 account history online you can find the license key given when you purchased 3.7. The key for v.4 is the last 16 characters.


    Not that it matters though. You will go back to using v3.7 by tomorrow.

    This is unbelievable.

    Phase One support responded very efficiently to my request for help. It seems that I had such an old licence key (dating back to v.1) that I needed a new upgrade added to my account - which they did free of charge.

    That was good.

    How are you supposed to send a support to request to Phase One if it shows you have no activations even though I got the key from Sandisk, the original activation code from Phase One and a pin number. My profile shows no activations if though I have a record of the activation on the exact same computer. 👿

    i likewise can't activate my C1 four software from Le, i was able to get my profile but can't choose country, i placed my Le 16 digit code & it says it's an LE code (must need a new code for C1 Four i guess). Maybe if i am able to choose country i can activate it ?? what do you people think ??? When do we get activation codes for our free 1 upgrade from LE version???

    The 6x4 digit number that you are trying to use is the activation code generated by phase one servers for the particular version and installation of Capture One. This will be no use to you for activating V4 (and possibly the earlier version on any other machine)

    Instead what you need is the original License code (a 4x4 digit number) that was supplied with your original purchase.

    As others have said, if you have lost this code, then it can be recovered from the Phase One Web site once you log in using the profile with which the original activation was associated.

    I have mine, enter it, and it tells me it is for Capture One LE Windows. Have e-mailed them a few times, got a response, not helpful at all, from the first one, the others have gone unanswered. They might well be busy, but if they had simplified the registration process they could have saved themselves a lot of work! 😕 Seems there are a lot of us that are entitled to register it, but cannot.

    Whilst it appears that there are a number of people with activation problems not of their own making, the OP was attempting to use the wrong code and was, therefore, not one of them.

    Some people have, on raising a support request with Phase One, found that their license information maintained by Phase One is not correct leading to the activation failure. There are a number of statements on this forum that such problems have been speedily resolved. If you are one of these people (and it appears that you are) then you should raise a support case.

    Thanks to Andrew for posting the link for submitting a case. This is the first time I was able to submit a case and actually got a case number. Let's wait and see how Phase One Responds. If it works I will let user's know what happens.

    Phase One had a wrong email for me. Once that was fixed I was able to activate.

    By the way Version 4 works with the Olympus E410 ORF files on and AMD Sempron processor. If you have an Olympus E510 the program should work also.
