Locks up Computer during processing

Hello anyone else having issues with C1 pro 21 and processing? I am working on a 15 inch macbook pro 

2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7

Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

running big sur 11.7. 

When I process images all a sudden it is locking up my machine. this starting happening about a month ago an now is becoming more of an issue. Has anyone see this? I haven' t done any recent updates.  thanks in advance for any help/tips.

  I assume this is an older (no offense) model MacBook Pro. Ensure you disable hardware acceleration in the Preferences > General tab of Capture One.
