trying to "copy" SOOC jpeg color settings...
Hi all,
I know that what I am about to discuss is a difficult task, but I just want to get some ideas on how to proceed with this in C1.
I found online a RAW file from a reviewing website (unfortunately I don't remember the source) including a nice shot of an X-RITE colorchecker and a digital colorchecker SG:

I tested this new software:
https://xritephoto.com/cameraicc
in order to experiment with ICC profiles.
I created a fine generic ICC profile, however the Ricoh GR II generic by C1 is better, so I thought that it would be a good idea to experiment with an ICC profile to go to as close as I can to a very popular Ricoh GR profile, named Positive Film.
I put the colorchecker RAW file on an SD card and baked a SOOC jpeg with the above profile:

Having chosen No Color Correction and Linear Response on both the RAW and SOOC Jpeg (on the jpeg it does not change the look of course, but it changes the RGB values), I started to modify the RAW so that the Colorchecker with the 24 samples would get the RGB values of the SOOC jpeg.
I created a tiff and loaded on the xrite software to create the ICC profile. The final ICC profile was a complete mess.
I am obviously missing some color theory here, so my question is the following:
What would be your approach on trying to create an ICC profile for C1 as close as possible to the SOOC effect?
An option would be to start correcting with the advanced color editor and export an ICC from this tool, but this needs color skills way off my league!
Greetings,
M.
