Canon G6 Color Temperature Problems
I purchased the Canon G6 to add a (somewhat) point and shoot device to my bag, and to make things more efficient for me - same battery type as my DSLR, and to finally edit all of my RAW files in one program. However, I cannot get any of my G6 photos to work properly in Capture One Pro 3.7.2. I understood that the G6 was \"supported,\" so I would expect to have no problems with the files.
The only way the color correction works, is when you use the eyedropper. If you change the temperature number manually, or drag the slider bar, the colors jump way out of range. They usually go into strange greens, blues, or yellows.
The reason I think something is screwed up in the program is that if you click with the eyedropper tool and have the program set values in the temperature and tint, then drag or change the temperature higher and then lower to the same value it just had, the photo isn't anywhere close to what it was. At least you should get the same result if you drag it back to the same number.
Note - I do not have this problem when editing my Canon 10D or Canon D60 files. I am also disappointed with the noise suppression results from Capture One for the G6, when compared to Canon software.

Hi Sudo,
Thanks for the report. Why don't you create a support case at support.phaseone.com and upload a raw file.
We will try to duplicate your findings.
Best regards,

Hi, I've got exactly the same problem - I created a support case and eventually got the reply - yeah we know its a problem, no solution! i had to revert to Canons software to process my files and now just shoot JPEG - not very impressed with the support! 0
