C1 and Expression Media 2

I am confused. I have installed C1 5.1.2 with support to EM2. But I do not understand how to get the 2 applications to communicate.

I am new to EM2, but I have use C1 for a number of years. Please help with a good step by step...I know I am not alone with this issue.
