CaptureOne 5.1 crashes during starting up

Hello,

I use a Win 7 64 bit system and updated a CaptureOne 5.0.2 version up to 5.1.
Now CaptureOne 5.1 crashes during starting up.
What can I do?

  First aid is this knowledge base article to uninstall CO5:

  For Windows 7 following the Vista instructions. Note that the last line - to remove the user.config preference file - gives the wrong path for Vista. This must be:
  C:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Local\PhaseOne\CaptureOne_url

  Thank you for your quick help.
  Now its possible to start captureOne but it still crashes when I create a new sub folder in the capture folder.
  What can I do?

  Maybe the session file got corrupt. This is a *.col50 file (default session file is the Capture One.col50). You can delete the file when CO5.1 is closed. The default session file will be create automatically; other session files (when you have Pro/DB) are created when you create a new session.
