Canon Mark II with CaptureOne
Hello,
I face a seriouse problem here with our new Canon Mark II and Capture One, i tryed to connect via USB and all i get is a Error (00080) if i try the same with FireWire it works fine but not very stable ...
Some Details:
Computer:
iMac (new Model with Intel)
OS:
OS X 10.4.9 (checked today and it is up to date ...)
Camera:
Canon Mark II EOS Ds (Firmware 1.1.6)
CaptureOne:
Capture One pro 3.7.7 (checked today, is up to date)
Connection:
USB (everytime the error 000080)
FIreWire (works but breaks sometimes ...
I use the cable delivered with our camera, the big black one and the adaptor for cable to camera ... this plastic connection is a bad joke, using it i loose connection every half minute without it i less trouble. i think this heavy black firewire cable is the problem, i would really love to try usb but i cant get it running.
is there any special camera internal setting for usb? do other users had the same trouble? what is better in general USB or FireWire?
thanks in advance

JFK,
Fairly sure the tethed capture on the Mk II is via FW only and the USB is for downloading and printer connectivity.
The camera setting to use is not special like on 5D I don't believe either, i.e. Manual should work.
Your manual should have the answers.
Error message you get is a General Connectivity error.
May be the cable itself or not seated properly into the body or computer.
This error will also show with outdated version, but you are indeed up to date on all.
-Camera off and connected
-Launch Capture One
-Create New Session
-Turn camera On
-Check Capture Tool for Camera Staus
Is it connected? is it seen mounted in the OS ?
