Can anyone offer advice as to why my capture one is so slow?
I am running capture 4 pro on a 2.8 Ghz intel core 2 duo macbook pro.
when bought in January it was so fast and having used it a lot it is so slow now and capture won't let me do different batching etc as before.
I clear all my shoot files of regularly to drives and have cleared all the caches I can see but still so slow....
Any ideas to get me back up to speed?
it just seems that there is something full somewhere that is slowing the software up...
Much appreciated
Marcus

Marcus,
Are you creating new sessions from time to time?
The session files that Capture One runs off of are like a table of contents, the shorter the table the faster it's read. If you use the same session for tens of thousands of images the table of contents can get overloaded and slow things down.0 -
Hi Drew,
thanks for the reply.
I'm creating a new session folder pretty much every shoot.
Its getting slower and slower...really frustrating.
TJust got back from a shoot today and tethering the camera to laptop was painfully slow....was able to shoot about 10 frames then had to wait a couple of minutes while it caught up.
What am I doing wrong?
any advice?
Thanks
