Can't open files from external drives....

Hi.
I have the following problem working under Mac Os X 10.5.7: Since working with C1 pro 4.x I can't open files stored on my second internal drive or external backup drive. I select the folder in the C1 finder but C1 can't find any files ('no images selected'). In C1 pro 3.x everything works fine.
I have to copy the files/folder/session back on my main drive to be able to work on them. Which is a bit anoying...

If somebody knows help please let me know.

  That is rather strange. C1 does not discriminate against external drives. No images appear in browser? Must be a permissions problem but on the other hand you can copy them to your main drive so you have read access which is enough for C1 to read them... Can you compare the permissions of 1 of the files on each drive (read/write/locked/owner) ?

  In CO4, Library tool tab, below, you can find the Info tool. Open the tool if collapsed, and view the permissions. Should be 'readable & writable'.
