RAW files not recognised

I have a problem that RAW files are not being recognised as such by Capture One LE. The files were shot by another photographer (v sadly no longer with us) & I have the task of processing & retouching the files. I started by looking at the files with CaptureOne DB (a trial version) & all worked fine . The RAW files were seen & I was able to make settings, apply them & process the files to TIFF.

Now, having purchased an LE licence, the files show in the thumbnail part of the window tagged as RAW - but when I click on one to show it in the main window, it suddenly changes to being tagged as a TIF & turns very green (presumably the RAW data being read as a TIF?)

Can anyone shed any light, please? Phase One haven't yet responded to the support case I initiated on the 15th, so I appeal to the boader community.

Be sure to check your email system for blockage of Support Case emails.
Your Case was replied to in 2 hours.

Here is the reply:

Only the DB and PRO versions of Capture One support Phase One Digital Back RAW files.
LE is for DSLRs only.
As a Digital Back owner you are entitled to the DB version for Free with unlimited upgrades and 10 activations.
Please provide all Studio Contact information and the Serial # for the P20 and we can get you a Product Key for DB.
