Blur Masking Area
Hi,
I am new to Capture One and exploring the program. I have a strong compositing background for TV commercials, working mostly on Autodesk Flame and The Foundry´s Nuke.
I really enjoy working with Capture One so far and local adjustments are a essential part my daily work.
What I am looking for and cannot find is a possibility to draw a mask and then blur the selection. It doesn't matter if I draw a mask by hand, or use shapes to get my desired selection. Then I would like to use a blur tool only for the selection (that extends over the border of the image).
I cannot find that option in the online manual nor in by searching for "blur mask" in the forum.
Is there a tool available to do this?
Thanks

There is no blur tool as such. You can sometimes achieve a bit of the effect you want by using reduced clarity and reduced sharpening locally, but for proper blurring you will need to export the image to another app like Photoshop or Affinity Photo to get proper Gaussian blur.
You might like to read this thread, too.
