apply to all ???
Where has the "Apply to All" gone???
I'm using the new 4.6.1.2something something , and i see the Copy / Paste adjustements, but this applies everything that has been done, including rating, crops, everything....!!
Where has the Apply to All gone, when dealing only with one thing, such as color balance.?
I'm starting to think (after much frustration) that 4.0 is a major waste of time for Windows users. In my opinion, it's terrible !

thanks for that,
I agree - reading the manual would help - but i am of the mind frame that the hallmarks of a successful program include intuitiveness in the layout and design - and this is quite a far cry from anything intuitive, or "user friendly".
Would you have any clue why the "organize by" (for example - rating, color or ISO ) of the thumbnails,
why does this always get reset when you return to a previously visited folder of thumbnails?0 -
Regarding intuitiveness, this is by definition personal so the intuitiveness of a particular program might fit one but not the other. Improvise, adapt, overcome is the military drill. Manuals and tutors a more civil (or: civilized) approach. Whatever suites you to keep frustration level low.
Regarding the thumbnail sort order, this is sticky with the session. If you have the regular version, this does not help you since you have only the default session. For the Pro and DB mode, it makes sense.0 -
Thanks again for being the "prevailing cooler head", i do appreciate the responses and info.
Had time to sleep on it, and yes - i suppose this needs to be approached as a totally different program, and not "the next version". in my opinion anyway,. Reason being, since so many things are changed, and things that were one way in 3.xx are now something different. They really should be calling it a different name, or slightly different, like WorkflowOne or something, just to say "hey, you can't just roll over all you know from 3.xxx and apply it."
Any way, just for expeditious sake, here's some other things that were concerns (and i promise i will be watching the videos again, and reading up on it)(also since you were kind enough to let me know that the thumbnail order is a problem - btw, i am using the pro / DB version. - and have had all the pro versions prior to this)
: Quick process - (it's gone? now just JPG, which i can't seem to adjust the size? Or rather, it won't respond to me changing the parameters. it just does what it wants, at 300px tall...
: Renaming folder goes really slow
: large adjustments to a whole batch - super slow, and no notification of how long the process will take - (and i have a beefy machine - internal SATA drives, 4 GB Ram, plenty of extra HD space)
: We seem to have lost the pop up" info" when hover over thumbnail - i kinda liked that.
Well, still getting to know it, so i'll just leave it at that..
Thanks again though.0 -
correction:
the "jpg" parameters are responding to changes, the program is just sluggish in response to changing things...0
