Summary Capture One support for Windows Vista

Problem Will Capture One run on Windows Vista?

Solution The current version of Capture One, 3.7.7, will on the new Windows Operating System, Vista, if you follow the workaround provided below:

    1. Unpack Files into a directory
    2. Look for the SetupPRO/LE.exe File
    3. Right Click on File, choose Properties
    4. Choose Tab Compatibility
    5. Select Compatibility for Windows XP Service Pack 2.
    6. Install

After installation you will have to:

    1. Go in to c:\\Program Files\\Phase One\\Capture One Pro\2. Right click on CapturOne.exe
    3. Choose Properties
    4. Choose tab Compatibility.
    5. Set a check mark in “Run this program as an administratorâ€
    6. Click “OKâ€

If this is not done Capture One will not store settings in the application when the application is restarted.

    P21, P30, P45
When running Capture One on Vista the following digital backs will not connect: P21, P30, P45. These backs are not detected by the Device Manager. We are awating an update from Microsoft. The best solution when working with these digital backs and Vista is to shoot to the CF card and transfer the images. A firmware fix will be available soon (no hard date has been set as of yet) which will allow the P21, P30 & P45 to shoot tethered to a Windows Vista computer.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Currently it is not possible to shoot tethered with Canon DSLRs in Capture One on Vista. Workaround is to shoot to a CF card and load RAWs into Capture One in that fashion.

P+ series will tether to Vista. However this OS is still not supported.

Download / Unzip / Follow instructions and it should work for you.
Install Must be to Local C: and you Must have full Administrative Privileges
