why: NO full screen focus preview in Windows
Why XP misses the full screen focus/detachable and resizable window preview? Quite strange because OSX and macs till now where AWFULLY SLOW to use this function (more than 8 seconds even in "fast" (if there is one) macs. Some other profiles and presets are also missing. Pallettes have different behaviour and way of performance (like thumbnail creation, mouse rolling) in OSX you can't even use a certain folder for previews. Software in OSX and XP SHOULD BE IDENTICAL. even the way folders are accessed and imported changes.
a smart and easy to use rating, category, collection and keywording system should have already be intergrated. learn from adobe's bridge awfull and slow behaviour though...
The focus could take place in the same window. There should be an option of 50% or less viewing not only 100-800%.
Sharpening algorythms are quite bad.
When building thumbnails, ALL files should be present (even without a thumbnail) so that you could work easily without the thumbails changing position as new thumbnails are created.
In focus zoom and while panning, only the "new" areas shown should be re-rendered, would save A LOT TIME, especially in macs which are sooooo slow.....
otherwise a great programme, would love some of the above "childish" weaknesses to vanish though.
