C1Pro 4.6 becomes unresponsive : relaunch necessary

Sometimes, in the middle of a session, a number of our C1Pro 4.6 installs seems to become unresponsive to mouse clicks on the cursor tool buttons.
At that point, one can no longer select the crop tool for example.

No rotating beach ball, just unresponsive.
Activity monitor shows no apparent processing during the problem.
The rest of the application remains responsive : I am able to shut down the application and relaunch, after which the problem is gone.

Any ideas, anyone ?

  I don't know if you have this problem during tethering; it might be related to that.
