Strange red artifacts with C1LE 3.7

I am using C1LE 3.7. Recently images have been marred with red blotches, usually in light colored areas. The same image opened in Photoshop does not have red blotches. If I display the same image side-by-side with itself only one version has the red blotches. (I don't know how else to describe this problem.) How can I get rid of the blotches? I have re-booted the computer (a Dell running Windows XP) to no avail. Should I re-install the program?
