highlights issue resolution?

I'm currently running the trial version of C1-4, and have experienced the problem with highlights which was addressed in a December posting elsewhere on the forum. (extreme highlight adjustments appear in <50% preview, but disappear and are rendered as a solid light grey in the final conversion or in enlarged preview). Has there been any solution or final explanation of that issue. I'd like to pull the trigger on activating the program, but don't want to if it's still unsolved.

  What I remember from the December postings is that Phase One Support has acknowledged the issues and has passed it through to R&D. I expect this to be fixed in a future update.
