Do I need to upgrade?
I am a fairly new user of Capture One. I started with v. 5.1.1 that I received in June of this year after purchasing Expression Media 2 - for Windows.
I understand that the latest version of Capture One would be a paid upgrade (v. 5.x.x to 6.x.x) rather than a free update (v. 5.2.0 to v. 5.2.1). Nevertheless, before I decide or not to upgrade, I have a question concerning the support of new cameras within the older version of Capture One.
I just purchased a Nikon D7000 that, as far as I can tell, is not supported by Capture One 5.2.1 but is supported by Capture One 6. Will there be future updates to Capture One 5 to support my new cameras?

If I where you I would not expect such update. I am waiting for support of Samsung DSLR camera from version 3.x .
On the end of September I have payed for upgrade from version 4.8.3 to v5.2.1 and still have not support for Samsung GX-1s camera 😕0 -
After an upgrade or major release, like from 5.x to 6, no new updates for the previous version (5.x) are to be expected. 0
