Center a Photo Between Panels

I am in a trial and have a panel on the left and the right like LR has how do I center the image between the 2 panels?

Right now part of the left side of the image is under the left panel and I can't shrink this panel anymore?

  Assuming you are talking about the Viewer when you mention he where the overlapped image is, if the zoom levle for the viewer is set to "Fit" the space should automatically change the size of the image displayed.
  
  If you are zoomed in it likely will not although if you have a very high resolution screen and a small default preview size behaviour may be different.
  
  In addition if you are using a set of floating tools or some purpose and treating them as a panel they will not auto size and nor will the viewer auto size to the floating tools ... they are, after all, floating tools.
  
  As Bobtographer has suggested, a screenshot would be useful to understand the challenge more easily.
