Purchasing CAPTURE ONE 6
I am upgrading from C1 3 to Capture one 6. (I currently use a P25+ and a newly purchased Canon 5D MkIII. I'm on an older MacBook Pro, hence using C1 6 rather than the newer C1 7) I have downloaded and used the software and now I would like to purchase it, but am a little unclear on how. (There does not appear to be any "Purchase Capture One 6" buttons on the website.) Do I just purchase C1 7 and use the codes retroactively. (Is C1 6 the same price as C1 7?) I appreciate your advice.

Yes.
By the way, any compelling reason that you not (yet) wish to switch to CO7?0 -
Thank you Paul. I had originally planned to upgrade to C1-7 and posted a query about that. I was advised not to due to dated computer hardware and software. I'm hoping this will keep us going for awhile.

I have one more question on this topic... Now that I've licensed CO 6 Pro there is no longer an option to work in CO-DB. Are DB shoots managed in Pro now? Can both Phase backs and DSLRS co-exist in the same program? Coming from CO 3 this was a big issue. If we accidentally brought DSLR files into DB it killed the program until we reset the preferences. I don't want that happening here, especially on a job.
Thanks,

You are safe with Pro. It is like DB plus full support (tethering and raw) for DSLR. 0 -
Thank you Paul.
