Once you open your Output folder (or any folder with displayable files) in CO4, the Capture One subfolder with COS/COP files will be created. You can remove the Capture One subfolder is you accidently or incidentally opened the Output folder.

Note that with CO 4.8.1 you can adjust and process also TIFF and JPEG files like you process RAW files. This is maybe not relevant if you own the raw files, but gives you a single workflow in case you have to work through TIFF or JPEG files you don't own the raw files for.

Thank you for the informative and helpful reply. Now I understand why COS/COP files would be created in a folder where I previously would not have thought that they would be necessary.

I guess that I can delete the folders with the COS/COP files where they are not necessary in my work flow. And, in the future, I just may not open the Output folder from within Capture One. Again, thanks!
