Swiching off Capture One

I am trying to run another piece of software on my mac which also uses tethered shooting. Everytime I run the other program Capture One takes over and the connection to other program is lost. Is there anyway I can stop capture from over taking the connection. I have Capture One off but it still starts up and overides. I have tried turning the tethered setting to 'none' but capture still takes over.

Any ideas?

  Go to Preferences -> Capture
  Remove the tick in front the camera you are using.
