Metadata and styles

I want to edit an existing style I created for my copyright metadata. How do I do this? If I have to create a new one then how do I trash the previous one as I don't to stack up useless styles?

    You can save a style with an existing name (just click the old style name in the Save As dialog) and save the new adapted style with the old name. Because each style is save as a separate .costyle file, you basically overwrite the file with a new one.
