Tethering with a Canon 5D, Windows 7 64bit and CO5
Greetings all !
I just download CO5 trial version, and trying to set it up for tethered shooting.
According to the documentation, my OS and camera are supported.
Here is the different issues I've got so far :
1) When setting Canon 5D communication mode to "PC Connect", CO5 does not even see my camera.
2) When changing it to "Print/PTP", CO5 does detect it, but I lose control over my camera triggers.
3) Even then, when I select the camera in CO5, I've got this error message in the event log : "Not supported"
I'm I missing something here ? A driver for Windows 7 64bit, or a piece of software that I must download and install from Canon ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated : )
Thank you group !

64-bits Windows is not supported for Canon tethering: Canon does not deliver 64-bit drivers (and probably won't for legacy hardware). I suggest that when you have the Professional, Enterprise or Ultimate version of Windows 7 x64, you install the soon to be released Windows Virtual PC plus XP Mode for free. This gives you a free Windows XP (32-bits) running inside or on top of Windows 7.
Note that you need the proper hardware, in particular VT extensions on your Intel or AMD processor and have them enable in your BIOS. I know, you probably lost me (or vice versa) but this is the road to go (IMHO of course). Note for myself: have to put this into practice with CO5 shortly.0
