Convert entire session to JPG with subfolders?

Sure. In the Output Subfolder section (of the process recipe or Export Variants dialog that you're going through to generate the previews), use the Session Sub Path Long token. This will build the folder hierarchy where the original source files reside.

Thanks Ben. I was able to select that token.

I should backtrack a bit here .... My files from a single day shoot live in the Library in my Capture folder on my external drive. This folder is the sub-folder of the Sessions folder. I'm trying to export from this folder, I right click the folder, Variants is available here, but only the images in the parent folder are available to select. What I'm wanting from this stage is to have the option to select every image in this folder, as well as the subfolders and export them all, maintaining the pre-exisitng file structure.

Normally I would make an edit of my images, transfer them to the Selects folder and export from there, however for this job the client wants everything.

Should I have set up my initial shot differently or am I missing something all together in my workflow?

    Cheers

Not sure I understand what you try to achieve. Let's try to reproduce.

I open a session with images in the Capture folder. In the Library, Session Folders section at the top, I can right click the Capture Folder but Export > Variants is greyed out. Instead, I choose show in Library.

Now, in the System Folders section, I again right click the Capture Folder, Export > Variants works and exports all variants in the Capture Folder.
This is similar to selecting all images in the Capture Folder and export them.

Is this what you try to do? Does it work differently? Or is it something else you like to achieve?

If you select the parent folder in the library tool you will not see images in subfolders. If you add the parent folder and all of the subfolders to favorites (right click folder - add to favorites) and then go to the Session Albums tab and select All Images, you should then be able to see and select all of your images. Use the Session Sub Path Long token when you process out the photos and the same folder hierarchy will be exported to your Output folder containing the jpgs (or where ever you have assigned the output location).

Is this what you're trying to achieve?

Thanks for all your input. Final solution and it was in fact the easiest:

I went to my Sessions Album > All Images > Select All ... and this is where I was getting into trouble. I was right clicking on the All Images Session Album and that is where the Variants were greyed out. However after I selected all the images, I right clicked on the actual image in the viewer and the Variants was now an option. From there I added the Session Sub Token Long Path and voilà. The export went where I wanted with the subfolders intact.

Thanks everyone for brainstorming this one through.

    Cheers,
    David

I'm not certain if there is a specific reason you're using right click > export, but you can also use the Output tool tab to export your images and it should give you a little more options when processing out your photos.
