If CO 4.x does not display any supported raw file, but only an exclamation point in the image, I would suspect the Capture One.col file (My Pictures/Capture One Library folder). You can remove this file or move it to another folder when CO4 is closed and start CO4 again. CO4 recreates a new file.

Capture One.col also contains references to Favorites and Albums, which you will loose if you remove it.

    Thank for the answer Paul,

I do exactly what you mean and remove : Capture One.col file.
Unfortunately it doesn't change anything !

    Best regards. Fabrice

    Fabrice,

    You could do the following.
    - In the CO4 menu bar, open Window, Events and see if there are any events related to the unsuccessful operation
    - Copy with the Finder a few raw files which cause troubles into a new folder in your home folder; open that folder in CO4. This will make CO4 start generating previews and thumbnails.

My assumption is that CO4 can't display the preview & thumbnail but it can read the file. I see you have .CR2 files. You do not happen to use a 1D(s) Mk III in sRAW mode? Does CO4 open other raw files in other folders correctly?

    Paul,

There is nothing in the Events Window.

Natives files from EOS5D, I also try files from P21 or P20 DB ...

Always nothing in CO4 with any kind of raw files, and C1 Pro is perfectly working ! Grr ...

thank you for your availability, Fabrice

    Fabrice,
If you select one of the 5D files in CO4, which ICC profile does CO4 select (Quick tab)? Can you browse through all the profiles (Show All and look in Canon or Other) and try another profile.

By the way, in CO3 you had a Flextight 343 profile selected for the 5D file. Just curious.

    Hello,

Try using a different monitor profile. The monitor profile is used in the creation of previews and if the profile is bad it will not be able to create the previews.

Thank Jon, I recalibrate the standard monitor profile and now it's works !
It was a strange issue ...

    With my best regards,

    Fabrice.
