Compare view on Retina Macbook not working

I have two Macbooks, one is a Retina model. One the non-retina, I can select two images and they both appear on the screen. Doing the same on the retina model, nothing happens. Both machines are running 7.1.2

  Check the preview mode: Multi View or Primary View (icon in upper left corner of Viewer window).

  Thanks Paul. That fixed it. Dumb user error, it is.
