Keyboard and Mouse Lock up

My keyboard and mouse lock up regularly when shooting tethered with a 5D. Communication can only be re-established by disconnecting and reconnecting the keyboard.

Has anybody else experienced this?

    Also, I've established that this happens specifically when the tethered camera goes to sleep.
