Advice on using a collection of photos...
Hey all,
Here's my situation...
I have upwards of 50,000 images I'd like to go through, pick the ones I want to either process or reprocess (some have been done before I purchased Capture One), and create a collection of those images.
The collection would be dynamic, a library of sorts, the type a DAM (Digital Asset Management) app can build. I would then like to adjust, correct, and process that entire collection in one fall swoop.
The sticky part is this, IF I can figure out a way to build a collection and pull them all into Capture One (possibly click and drag) is there some way in the output of keeping things organized?
Ideally, I'd like a master folder of everything that's been redone, with subfolders for each shoot. At a minimum, I'd like each image processed into a subfolder (marked such that I can find it via search) of each of the original directories that the photos are actually stored in.
So, in English, I want to be able to pull images a, b, c, out of directories x, y, z, process them in one large batch, and then output them back to x/J, y/J, and z/J. (J for JPEG).
Thanks,
Dan O.

Dan,
Sounds like you just need sub folders for the process recipe?
If you browse the library tool to Directory X you can edit the files, A. From there you can process to Subfolder "J" located in Directory X. Use the advanced tab to set the process subfolder.
The only suggestion beyond that is to access about 1/100th of the images at a time. This way the software will work faster in groups of 500 as appose to 50,000.0
