Canon10d not recognized by c1

hi there:

the problem i have is that c1 can not find any camera on my computer, i plugged my canon 10d via the usb cable and c1 wont recognize it, this means a can not download the pictures from the flash card, how can i solve this problem?? ☹️
I have windows xp installed

  This only works with Phase One cameras and Canon 1D and 1Ds.
  To download images you have to use a CF card reader.
