C1 5 Browser doesn't show images on DVD
When choosing the DVD drive with a disk containing images inserted, the Browser returns the following message: "No images in collection". Meanwhile the very same Browser shows all the images when any hard-disk folder is selected. So if I need to edit pictures placed on a DVD, I fist have to copy those pictures on the HDD and only then can I access them by the C1 Browser.
I also tried to import pictures from DVD by the "Import..." tool. The message is "The folder cannot be read".
The program version: 5.1 Pro, trial period

It's really not possible to edit images on a DVD with raw converters...although some image programs will open them and do a "save as" elsewhere...so this behavior doesn't suprise me. I suspect you might also need to change the "read only' tag (that is attached to image files by writing them to DVD) after copying them to your HD, but it's been a while since I've restored from DVD.... 0 -
Capture One needs a Read/WRITE destination to function. A DVD is not that. 0 -
The OP states that the images on the DVD does not show up at all inside CO 5.1's Library tool. That's odd, my 5.1 XP system shows the images but (as stated before) can't edit them. 0
